I want to make a change, so with all my other questions, i want sceintific studies backing it up……..no guessing, please helkp me out….. :)

so, just foods that lower cholesterol……..

Foods to lower cholesterol:

1. Whole grains and oats: An Insulin Resistance Athersclerosis Study showed that people whose diets contain the most whole grains “had the thinnest carotid artery walls and showed the slowest progression in artery wall thickness.”

2. Blueberries: Blueberries help to lower cholesterol with minimal side effects.

3. Pistachios, Walnuts and Almonds: Penn State study indicates that pistachios significantly lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. Journal of the American College of Cardiology showed eating walnuts after a high-fat meal might protect your heart. Omega-3 fats and antioxidants in nuts work to reverse the arterial damage

4. Flaxseed oil – flaxseed oil can lower blood pressure in men with high cholesterol.

5. Fish and Fish oil – a study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology found that fish oil lowers the size and concentration of several lipoprotein subclasses (cholesterol).

6. Pomegranate juice – a National Academy of Sciences study showed that pomegranate juice reduces cholesterol plaque.

There are many foods that lower LDL cholesterol: omega-3-fatty acids, oatmeal and oatbran; nuts (almond, walnuts); olive oil; foods fortified (high) in plant stanol (sterol); etc

There are some other foods that can raise HDL cholesterol: curcumin (curry); onions; dark chocolate; nuts (walnuts, macadamia nuts); fish (omega-3 fatty acids); olive oil; berries; etc

    Water.

The body was created with the proper nutrients to repair itself – our only job is to replenish these nutrients on a daily basis. But when people don’t drink enough water, the body becomes dehydrated, the cells don’t receive the proper nutrients and problems develop.

Dehydration produces concentrated, acidic blood that becomes even more dehydrated during its passage through the lungs before reaching the heart, because of evaporation of water in the lungs during breathing. The membranes of the blood vessels of the heart and main arteries going up to the brain become vulnerable to the shearing pressure produced by the thicker, acidic blood. This shearing force of toxic blood causes abrasions and minute tears in the lining of the arteries that can peel off and cause embolisms of the brain, kidneys and other organs.

To prevent the damaged blood vessel walls from peeling, low-density (so-called ‘bad’) cholesterol coats and covers up the abrasions and protects the underlying tissue like a waterproof bandage until the tissue heals.

Drinking more water will reduce the acidic state in the blood and allow the arteries to repair themselves. But correcting the problem needs to be done correctly – not drinking enough won’t do much good. Too much before the body is geared to handle it will wash out important nutrients, leading to additional problems. Click on the link below to learn how to do it correctly.
